Fair Care.
The quiet, careful goodbye your pet deserves.
Clinical care brings expertise, safety and solutions. At the end of a pet's life, what matters more is comfort, calm and dignity.
We come to you. In your home, on your sofa, in the garden, wherever your pet is most at peace. The whole visit happens at home, in your pet's own time.
Our promise to Peterborough families is simple: clear standards, honest pricing, and the time and space to say goodbye properly.
Clear standards, not vague promises
Every visit follows the same gentle process, delivered by an RCVS-qualified vet.

You know exactly what to expect at every stage, including aftercare and cremation.
Honest, transparent pricing
Real prices shown by pet size. No call-out charges and no surprises.
Time, space and calm, not pressure
We allow as long as your family needs. This is never rushed.
Local to you, across Peterborough and the surrounding area.
Peterborough sits where the Nene leaves the Fens and turns toward Northamptonshire, and the homes we visit reflect that broad mix: cathedral-side Georgian houses in Park, post-war terraces in Eastfield, the long arc of newer estates at Bretton, Werrington, Hampton and Orton, and farmhouses out into the villages around Eye and Thorney. The dogs we are asked to see have often walked Ferry Meadows Country Park, the Nene Valley railway path, or the towpath out toward Whittlesey for years. The cats here are usually long-resident in a single front room of a terraced house in Walton or Dogsthorpe, or a garden cat in the older streets of Stanground and Fletton. By the time families ring, taking your pet in the car along the parkway for a clinic visit is rarely the right thing. We cover Peterborough itself across the PE postcodes, including Walton, Dogsthorpe, Eastfield, Park, Westwood, Bretton, Werrington, Paston, Stanground, Fletton, Hampton, Orton Longueville and Orton Waterville, and we travel out to Eye, Thorney, Whittlesey, Yaxley and the Fen villages on the edge of the city. Our vets are RCVS-registered. Sedation is used first so your pet is asleep before anything else, and the visit is unhurried. Cremation is arranged through a trusted East of England crematorium, with private or communal options. The number on this page is the Cambridgeshire line, answered by a person who books our local vets for Peterborough home visits.

Common questions.
How do I know it is time?+
One of the hardest questions any family faces. Our free Quality of Life Assessment walks you through the signs vets look for, mobility, appetite, comfort, interest in surroundings. You are also welcome to phone and talk it through. There is no pressure either way.
How quickly can you come?+
Most visits across Peterborough and the surrounding area are booked same-day, often within a couple of hours. Pre-planned visits for a specific day and time are also available. For urgent, out-of-hours situations the local number is answered from 8am to 8pm.
What happens during the visit?+
Your vet arrives, introduces themselves quietly, and takes a few minutes to explain what will happen. They give your pet a gentle sedative first, so they become relaxed and sleepy, usually resting in your arms or on their bed. Only then is the final injection given, and your pet slips away peacefully. We never rush this.
Does it cost more for evenings or weekends?+
Out-of-hours and same-day visits carry a small surcharge (£70 each, or £89 combined, and £100 overnight). The visit fee itself is the same regardless of day or time.
Can my children or other pets be there?+
Yes, if you would like. Many families find it helpful to say goodbye together. We take your lead on who is present and make sure everyone feels comfortable, including other pets in the household.
What about cremation and aftercare?+
We co-ordinate everything. You can choose individual cremation (ashes returned to you), communal cremation (no ashes returned), or home burial if that is what you prefer. No pressure, just the options explained clearly.
How long does a vet from your team take to get to Peterborough?+
We work to whatever timescale suits the family rather than to a fixed arrival window. When you phone us, we usually have a vet confirmed for you within around twenty minutes, and then the visit is booked for the time you have asked for, whether that is later the same day, this evening, or a quieter morning slot. If you would like someone as soon as possible, say so on the call and we will tell you the earliest we can be there.
Will the vet visiting Peterborough have done this before?+
Yes, every vet visiting Peterborough is RCVS-qualified and trained for at-home euthanasia, the same gentle process every time. The same gentle process is followed on every visit: introductions and time to settle, a sedative first so your pet drifts into a deep sleep, and only then the final injection. We never rush, and we will explain each step quietly as we go.
