Fair Care.

The quiet, careful goodbye your pet deserves.

Clinical care brings expertise, safety and solutions. At the end of a pet's life, what matters more is comfort, calm and dignity.

We come to you. In your home, on your sofa, in the garden, wherever your pet is most at peace. The whole visit happens at home, in your pet's own time.

Our promise to Congleton families is simple: clear standards, honest pricing, and the time and space to say goodbye properly.

  • Clear standards, not vague promises

Every visit follows the same gentle process, delivered by an RCVS-qualified vet.

  • Known steps before, during and after

You know exactly what to expect at every stage, including aftercare and cremation.

  • Honest, transparent pricing

Real prices shown by pet size. No call-out charges and no surprises.

  • Time, space and calm, not pressure

We allow as long as your family needs. This is never rushed.

Covering CW12& surrounding postcodes

Local to you, across Congleton and the surrounding area.

Congleton is a market town with the Cloud rising behind it and the Dane running through, and the dogs we visit here often have years of walks across Mossley, Astbury Mere and up the lanes toward Timbersbrook in their legs. By the time families call, an older pet is usually past the point of comfortable car journeys. We cover Congleton itself, Buglawton, Mossley, West Heath and Lower Heath, and travel out to Astbury, Brereton Green, Holmes Chapel, Sandbach, Alsager and Scholar Green. We also reach Biddulph and the Mow Cop villages if you are right on the Staffordshire border. Our vets are RCVS-registered and the appointment is unhurried. We use sedation first so your pet is settled and not aware of what comes next, and we will sit with you for as long as you need afterwards. Children, other pets and other family members are all welcome to be present if that feels right; we will explain what each step looks like before anything happens. Cremation is arranged through a local Cheshire provider, with private and communal options and ashes returned to your door. We will give you a single, clear price on the phone, with nothing added afterwards. The number on this page rings to our local team for the Congleton area, and is answered by a person who books visits in your area.

How it works.

Three steps. We handle everything around the clinical care so your family can focus on being there.

1

Call or message

Speak to a calm, experienced team member on the local number, or message on WhatsApp. We help you plan timing and answer any questions before anything is booked.

2

A vet visits your home

An RCVS-qualified vet arrives at the agreed time, explains gently what will happen, gives a sedative first, and takes as long as your family needs.

3

We handle the aftercare

If you have chosen cremation, we co-ordinate everything with a trusted partner. Ashes returned, or communal cremation if you prefer.

Common questions.

How do I know it is time?

One of the hardest questions any family faces. Our free Quality of Life Assessment walks you through the signs vets look for, mobility, appetite, comfort, interest in surroundings. You are also welcome to phone and talk it through. There is no pressure either way.

How quickly can you come?

Most visits across Congleton and the surrounding area are booked same-day, often within a couple of hours. Pre-planned visits for a specific day and time are also available. For urgent, out-of-hours situations the local number is answered from 8am to 8pm.

What happens during the visit?

Your vet arrives, introduces themselves quietly, and takes a few minutes to explain what will happen. They give your pet a gentle sedative first, so they become relaxed and sleepy, usually resting in your arms or on their bed. Only then is the final injection given, and your pet slips away peacefully. We never rush this.

Does it cost more for evenings or weekends?

Out-of-hours and same-day visits carry a small surcharge (Β£60 each, or Β£89 combined). The visit fee itself is the same regardless of day or time.

Can my children or other pets be there?

Yes, if you would like. Many families find it helpful to say goodbye together. We take your lead on who is present and make sure everyone feels comfortable, including other pets in the household.

What about cremation and aftercare?

We co-ordinate everything. You can choose individual cremation (ashes returned to you), communal cremation (no ashes returned), or home burial if that is what you prefer. No pressure, just the options explained clearly.

Do you cover Buglawton?

Yes, Buglawton sits within our Congleton cover area and we visit there regularly. If you are right on the edge of where the Congleton team reaches, please phone the local number first to confirm. Most postcodes around Congleton are covered without a travel surcharge, and we will be straight with you if a different local team would actually get to you faster.

Will the vet visiting Congleton have done this before?

Yes, every vet visiting Congleton is RCVS-qualified and trained for at-home euthanasia, the same gentle process every time. The same gentle process is followed on every visit: introductions and time to settle, a sedative first so your pet drifts into a deep sleep, and only then the final injection. We never rush, and we will explain each step quietly as we go.

How things end matters.

We are here whenever you are ready.

Whether you need us today or you would like to plan ahead, the Congleton team is here to listen. No pressure, just a calm conversation about what is best for your pet.
