Not sure if we cover your village? Phone the local number and we will let you know.

Reigate and Redhill sit either side of the A23 below the long chalk shoulder of the North Downs, and the families we visit here have homes that match the gentle commuter rhythm of the area: Edwardian villas off Reigate Hill, post-war semis in Woodhatch and Meadvale, Victorian terraces in Earlswood and the older streets of Redhill, and the larger gardens of South Park. The dogs we are asked to see have often walked Reigate Hill, Reigate Heath, Earlswood Common, Priory Park or the Pilgrim's Way along the Downs for years. The cats are usually long-resident in a single room of a Reigate cottage or a sun-warmed bedroom window in Merstham. By the time families ring, putting your pet in the car along the A217 or up the M25 sliproad for a clinic visit is rarely the right thing for the last appointment. We cover Reigate and Redhill across RH1 and RH2, including Woodhatch, Meadvale, South Park, Earlswood, Whitebushes, Merstham and Nutfield, and we travel out to Betchworth, Buckland, Leigh, Salfords, Horley, South Nutfield and Bletchingley. Our vets are RCVS-registered. Sedation is used first so your pet is asleep before anything else happens, and the visit is unhurried. Cremation is arranged through a trusted Surrey crematorium, with private or communal options. The number on this page is the Surrey line, answered by a person who books our local vets for Reigate home visits.

Common questions.

How do I know it is time?

One of the hardest questions any family faces. Our free Quality of Life Assessment walks you through the signs vets look for, mobility, appetite, comfort, interest in surroundings. You are also welcome to phone and talk it through. There is no pressure either way.

How quickly can you come?

Most visits across Reigate and the surrounding area are booked same-day, often within a couple of hours. Pre-planned visits for a specific day and time are also available. For urgent, out-of-hours situations the local number is answered from 8am to 8pm.

What happens during the visit?

Your vet arrives, introduces themselves quietly, and takes a few minutes to explain what will happen. They give your pet a gentle sedative first, so they become relaxed and sleepy, usually resting in your arms or on their bed. Only then is the final injection given, and your pet slips away peacefully. We never rush this.

Does it cost more for evenings or weekends?

Out-of-hours and same-day visits carry a small surcharge (£60 each, or £89 combined). The visit fee itself is the same regardless of day or time.

Can my children or other pets be there?

Yes, if you would like. Many families find it helpful to say goodbye together. We take your lead on who is present and make sure everyone feels comfortable, including other pets in the household.

What about cremation and aftercare?

We co-ordinate everything. You can choose individual cremation (ashes returned to you), communal cremation (no ashes returned), or home burial if that is what you prefer. No pressure, just the options explained clearly.

Where will my pet be cremated from Reigate?

Cremation is handled through a trusted partner working across the South East, so your pet stays in the local area. The cremation partner collects your pet directly from your home in Reigate after the appointment, and they return the ashes, usually within 48 hours. If you would prefer communal cremation, with no ashes returned, that option is available too. Either way, the choice is yours and we will explain everything before the visit.

Which areas around Reigate are covered for same-day visits?

Across the RH1, RH2 postcodes we can usually reach a home in Reigate the same day, including Woodhatch, Meadvale, South Park and Earlswood. Rural fringes and outlying areas may be next-morning earliest if the call comes in late in the day, but we will tell you straight away when we phone back. Lines are open from 8am to 8pm, seven days a week.

How things end matters.

We are here whenever you are ready.

Whether you need us today or you would like to plan ahead, the Reigate team is here to listen. No pressure, just a calm conversation about what is best for your pet.
