Fair Care.

The quiet, careful goodbye your pet deserves.

Clinical care brings expertise, safety and solutions. At the end of a pet's life, what matters more is comfort, calm and dignity.

We come to you. In your home, on your sofa, in the garden, wherever your pet is most at peace. The whole visit happens at home, in your pet's own time.

Our promise to Guildford families is simple: clear standards, honest pricing, and the time and space to say goodbye properly.

  • Clear standards, not vague promises

Every visit follows the same gentle process, delivered by an RCVS-qualified vet.

  • Known steps before, during and after

You know exactly what to expect at every stage, including aftercare and cremation.

  • Honest, transparent pricing

Real prices shown by pet size. No call-out charges and no surprises.

  • Time, space and calm, not pressure

We allow as long as your family needs. This is never rushed.

Covering GU1, GU2, GU3, GU4, GU5& surrounding postcodes

Local to you, across Guildford and the surrounding area.

Guildford is the county town of Surrey and the homes we visit have an unmistakable shape: red-brick semis on the slopes above the High Street, Edwardian houses around Stoke Park, post-war estates in Park Barn and Westborough, and farmhouses tucked into the lanes at Albury, Shere and Wonersh. The dogs we are asked to see have often walked the towpath along the Wey Navigation, climbed up onto the Hog's Back, or done the loop around Stoke Park and Riverside Nature Reserve for years. Cats here are usually long-resident in an Onslow Village garden or a Burpham cul-de-sac. By the time families ring, taking your pet in the car along the A3 or up onto the Mount for a clinic visit is rarely what they want for the last appointment. We cover Guildford itself across GU1 to GU5, including Onslow Village, Park Barn, Westborough, Stoughton, Bellfields, Burpham, Merrow and Shalford, and we travel out to Compton, Puttenham, Wanborough, Normandy, Worplesdon, Albury, Shere, Gomshall and Wonersh. Our vets are RCVS-registered. Sedation is used first so your pet is asleep before anything else, and the visit is unhurried, typically about an hour at the home. Cremation is arranged through a trusted Surrey crematorium, with private and communal options. The number on this page is the Surrey line, answered by a person who books our local vets for Guildford home visits, not a national queue.

How it works.

Three steps. We handle everything around the clinical care so your family can focus on being there.

1

Call or message

Speak to a calm, experienced team member on the local number, or message on WhatsApp. We help you plan timing and answer any questions before anything is booked.

2

A vet visits your home

An RCVS-qualified vet arrives at the agreed time, explains gently what will happen, gives a sedative first, and takes as long as your family needs.

3

We handle the aftercare

If you have chosen cremation, we co-ordinate everything with a trusted partner. Ashes returned, or communal cremation if you prefer.

“We had to let our old dog go. And the vet from yours was lovely with him (and us) she explained everything and our gentle old boy went over the rainbow bridge peacefully. I would have no hesitation in recommending their services. Thank you Dr Alex for making Paco's journey…”

“From the very first phone call we were dealt with in such an empathetic, caring and kind way. It’s always so hard to say goodbye to a much loved pet, but to be able to do it in the comfort of your own home removes so much stress at an already devastating time. Thank you again x”

Common questions.

How do I know it is time?

One of the hardest questions any family faces. Our free Quality of Life Assessment walks you through the signs vets look for, mobility, appetite, comfort, interest in surroundings. You are also welcome to phone and talk it through. There is no pressure either way.

How quickly can you come?

Most visits across Guildford and the surrounding area are booked same-day, often within a couple of hours. Pre-planned visits for a specific day and time are also available. For urgent, out-of-hours situations the local number is answered from 8am to 8pm.

What happens during the visit?

Your vet arrives, introduces themselves quietly, and takes a few minutes to explain what will happen. They give your pet a gentle sedative first, so they become relaxed and sleepy, usually resting in your arms or on their bed. Only then is the final injection given, and your pet slips away peacefully. We never rush this.

Does it cost more for evenings or weekends?

Out-of-hours and same-day visits carry a small surcharge (£70 each, or £89 combined, and £100 overnight). The visit fee itself is the same regardless of day or time.

Can my children or other pets be there?

Yes, if you would like. Many families find it helpful to say goodbye together. We take your lead on who is present and make sure everyone feels comfortable, including other pets in the household.

What about cremation and aftercare?

We co-ordinate everything. You can choose individual cremation (ashes returned to you), communal cremation (no ashes returned), or home burial if that is what you prefer. No pressure, just the options explained clearly.

Where will my pet be cremated from Guildford?

Cremation is handled through a trusted partner working across the South East, so your pet stays in the local area. The cremation partner collects your pet directly from your home in Guildford after the appointment, and they return the ashes, usually within 48 hours. If you would prefer communal cremation, with no ashes returned, that option is available too. Either way, the choice is yours and we will explain everything before the visit.

How long does a vet from your team take to get to Guildford?

We work to whatever timescale suits the family rather than to a fixed arrival window. When you phone us, we usually have a vet confirmed for you within around twenty minutes, and then the visit is booked for the time you have asked for, whether that is later the same day, this evening, or a quieter morning slot. If you would like someone as soon as possible, say so on the call and we will tell you the earliest we can be there.

How things end matters.

We are here whenever you are ready.

Whether you need us today or you would like to plan ahead, the Guildford team is here to listen. No pressure, just a calm conversation about what is best for your pet.
