Fair Care.

The quiet, careful goodbye your pet deserves.

Clinical care brings expertise, safety and solutions. At the end of a pet's life, what matters more is comfort, calm and dignity.

We come to you. In your home, on your sofa, in the garden, wherever your pet is most at peace. The whole visit happens at home, in your pet's own time.

Our promise to Newcastle upon Tyne families is simple: clear standards, honest pricing, and the time and space to say goodbye properly.

  • Clear standards, not vague promises

Every visit follows the same gentle process, delivered by an RCVS-qualified vet.

  • Known steps before, during and after

You know exactly what to expect at every stage, including aftercare and cremation.

  • Honest, transparent pricing

Real prices shown by pet size. No call-out charges and no surprises.

  • Time, space and calm, not pressure

We allow as long as your family needs. This is never rushed.

Covering NE1, NE2, NE3, NE4, NE6, NE7, NE15& surrounding postcodes

Local to you, across Newcastle upon Tyne and the surrounding area.

Newcastle is a tightly-knit city, and many of the dogs we visit have walked the same paths for years, from the slopes of Jesmond Dene down to Pets Corner or the Hadrian's Way path along the Tyne. By the time the conversation turns to a final visit, an elderly pet in a car along the Coast Road for a clinic appointment is rarely the right last thing.

Not sure if we cover your village? Phone the local number and we will let you know.

Our vets cover the NE postcodes across the city and reach Jesmond, Heaton, Gosforth and Sandyford in same-day cover, with Gateshead, Low Fell and Whickham across the river, the coast at Wallsend, Tynemouth and Whitley Bay, and out to Longbenton and Newburn usually reachable too. Sedation is given first, on a familiar bed or blanket, and your pet drifts into a deep sleep before the final injection. The appointment is unhurried, usually around an hour. Cremation is arranged through a trusted North East partner who collect directly from the home after the visit; private cremation returns the ashes within 48 hours. The number on this page is a direct local Newcastle line.

How it works.

Three steps. We handle everything around the clinical care so your family can focus on being there.

1

Call or message

Speak to a calm, experienced team member on the local number, or message on WhatsApp. We help you plan timing and answer any questions before anything is booked.

2

A vet visits your home

An RCVS-qualified vet arrives at the agreed time, explains gently what will happen, gives a sedative first, and takes as long as your family needs.

3

We handle the aftercare

If you have chosen cremation, we co-ordinate everything with a trusted partner. Ashes returned, or communal cremation if you prefer.

Common questions.

How do I know it is time?

One of the hardest questions any family faces. Our free Quality of Life Assessment walks you through the signs vets look for, mobility, appetite, comfort, interest in surroundings. You are also welcome to phone and talk it through. There is no pressure either way.

How quickly can you come?

Most visits across Newcastle upon Tyne and the surrounding area are booked same-day, often within a couple of hours. Pre-planned visits for a specific day and time are also available. For urgent, out-of-hours situations the local number is answered from 8am to 8pm.

What happens during the visit?

Your vet arrives, introduces themselves quietly, and takes a few minutes to explain what will happen. They give your pet a gentle sedative first, so they become relaxed and sleepy, usually resting in your arms or on their bed. Only then is the final injection given, and your pet slips away peacefully. We never rush this.

Does it cost more for evenings or weekends?

Out-of-hours and same-day visits carry a small surcharge (£70 each, or £89 combined, and £100 overnight). The visit fee itself is the same regardless of day or time.

Can my children or other pets be there?

Yes, if you would like. Many families find it helpful to say goodbye together. We take your lead on who is present and make sure everyone feels comfortable, including other pets in the household.

What about cremation and aftercare?

We co-ordinate everything. You can choose individual cremation (ashes returned to you), communal cremation (no ashes returned), or home burial if that is what you prefer. No pressure, just the options explained clearly.

Where will my pet be cremated from Newcastle upon Tyne?

Cremation is handled through a trusted partner working across the North East, so your pet stays in the local area. The cremation partner collects your pet directly from your home in Newcastle upon Tyne after the appointment, and they return the ashes, usually within 48 hours. If you would prefer communal cremation, with no ashes returned, that option is available too. Either way, the choice is yours and we will explain everything before the visit.

How long does a vet from your team take to get to Newcastle upon Tyne?

We work to whatever timescale suits the family rather than to a fixed arrival window. When you phone us, we usually have a vet confirmed for you within around twenty minutes, and then the visit is booked for the time you have asked for, whether that is later the same day, this evening, or a quieter morning slot. If you would like someone as soon as possible, say so on the call and we will tell you the earliest we can be there.

How things end matters.

We are here whenever you are ready.

Whether you need us today or you would like to plan ahead, the Newcastle upon Tyne team is here to listen. No pressure, just a calm conversation about what is best for your pet.
