Local to you, across Leicester and the surrounding area.

Leicester is a city of strong neighbourhood identities and the dogs we visit have usually walked the same patch for years: Victoria Park for the Stoneygate, Clarendon Park and Knighton streets, Abbey Park for the homes around Belgrave, the Aylestone Meadows for the older retrievers and labradors of Aylestone and Knighton Fields, Western Park for the families in West End and Westcotes, Spinney Hill Park for the terraces around Highfields and North Evington. Cats are long-resident garden cats in a Clarendon Park bay-window terrace or a Knighton semi, with the back door always on the latch. By the time we are called, putting an elderly pet into a car along Welford Road or out onto the A6 for a clinic visit is rarely the right last thing for them. We cover central Leicester and out across the city: Clarendon Park, Stoneygate, Knighton, Knighton Fields, Aylestone, South Knighton, West End, Westcotes, Hinckley Road, Newfoundpool, Belgrave, Rushey Mead, North Evington, Highfields, Spinney Hills, Evington, Humberstone, Thurnby Lodge, New Parks and Braunstone. Our vets are RCVS-registered and the visit is unhurried. Sedation is used first so your pet is asleep before anything else. Cremation is arranged through a trusted Midlands crematorium, private or communal. The number on this page is our central booking line, answered by a person who will arrange a vet for your home visit in Leicester.

How it works.

Three steps. We handle everything around the clinical care so your family can focus on being there.

1

Call or message

Speak to a calm, experienced team member on the local number, or message on WhatsApp. We help you plan timing and answer any questions before anything is booked.

2

A vet visits your home

An RCVS-qualified vet arrives at the agreed time, explains gently what will happen, gives a sedative first, and takes as long as your family needs.

3

We handle the aftercare

If you have chosen cremation, we co-ordinate everything with a trusted partner. Ashes returned, or communal cremation if you prefer.

Common questions.

How do I know it is time?

One of the hardest questions any family faces. Our free Quality of Life Assessment walks you through the signs vets look for, mobility, appetite, comfort, interest in surroundings. You are also welcome to phone and talk it through. There is no pressure either way.

How quickly can you come?

Most visits across Leicester and the surrounding area are booked same-day, often within a couple of hours. Pre-planned visits for a specific day and time are also available. For urgent, out-of-hours situations the local number is answered from 8am to 8pm.

What happens during the visit?

Your vet arrives, introduces themselves quietly, and takes a few minutes to explain what will happen. They give your pet a gentle sedative first, so they become relaxed and sleepy, usually resting in your arms or on their bed. Only then is the final injection given, and your pet slips away peacefully. We never rush this.

Does it cost more for evenings or weekends?

Out-of-hours and same-day visits carry a small surcharge (£70 each, or £89 combined, and £100 overnight). The visit fee itself is the same regardless of day or time.

Can my children or other pets be there?

Yes, if you would like. Many families find it helpful to say goodbye together. We take your lead on who is present and make sure everyone feels comfortable, including other pets in the household.

What about cremation and aftercare?

We co-ordinate everything. You can choose individual cremation (ashes returned to you), communal cremation (no ashes returned), or home burial if that is what you prefer. No pressure, just the options explained clearly.

How long does a vet from your team take to get to Leicester?

We work to whatever timescale suits the family rather than to a fixed arrival window. When you phone us, we usually have a vet confirmed for you within around twenty minutes, and then the visit is booked for the time you have asked for, whether that is later the same day, this evening, or a quieter morning slot. If you would like someone as soon as possible, say so on the call and we will tell you the earliest we can be there.

Will the vet visiting Leicester have done this before?

Yes, every vet visiting Leicester is RCVS-qualified and trained for at-home euthanasia, the same gentle process every time. The same gentle process is followed on every visit: introductions and time to settle, a sedative first so your pet drifts into a deep sleep, and only then the final injection. We never rush, and we will explain each step quietly as we go.

How things end matters.

We are here whenever you are ready.

Whether you need us today or you would like to plan ahead, the Leicester team is here to listen. No pressure, just a calm conversation about what is best for your pet.
