Local to you, across Leeds and the surrounding area.

Leeds is a city of long terraces and big parks, and many of the dogs we visit have walked the same morning loop for years, whether that is Woodhouse Moor near the university or the path past Kirkstall Abbey for an older retriever in Burley. By the time someone rings us, a final clinic visit out along the A660 is rarely the right last thing, and most families would rather it happened at home.

What a visit looks like in Leeds

  • RCVS-qualified vet at your door, often the same morning
  • Sedation first on a familiar bed or blanket; final injection only when your pet is in a deep sleep
  • Cremation arranged with a trusted local partner who collect directly from your home
  • Ashes returned within 48 hours if you choose private cremation

Our vets cover the LS postcodes across the city and reach Headingley, Chapel Allerton, Roundhay and Horsforth in same-day cover, with Garforth, Yeadon, Guiseley and Otley usually reachable too. The villages towards Bardsey and Collingham are sometimes next-morning earliest, and the handler will say so on the phone. Sedation is given first, on a familiar blanket, and your pet drifts into a deep sleep before the final injection. The appointment is unhurried, usually around an hour. Cremation is arranged through a trusted Yorkshire partner who collect directly from the home; private cremation returns the ashes within 48 hours. The number on this page is a direct local Leeds line.

How it works.

Three steps. We handle everything around the clinical care so your family can focus on being there.

1

Call or message

Speak to a calm, experienced team member on the local number, or message on WhatsApp. We help you plan timing and answer any questions before anything is booked.

2

A vet visits your home

An RCVS-qualified vet arrives at the agreed time, explains gently what will happen, gives a sedative first, and takes as long as your family needs.

3

We handle the aftercare

If you have chosen cremation, we co-ordinate everything with a trusted partner. Ashes returned, or communal cremation if you prefer.

Common questions.

How do I know it is time?

One of the hardest questions any family faces. Our free Quality of Life Assessment walks you through the signs vets look for, mobility, appetite, comfort, interest in surroundings. You are also welcome to phone and talk it through. There is no pressure either way.

How quickly can you come?

Most visits across Leeds and the surrounding area are booked same-day, often within a couple of hours. Pre-planned visits for a specific day and time are also available. For urgent, out-of-hours situations the local number is answered from 8am to 8pm.

What happens during the visit?

Your vet arrives, introduces themselves quietly, and takes a few minutes to explain what will happen. They give your pet a gentle sedative first, so they become relaxed and sleepy, usually resting in your arms or on their bed. Only then is the final injection given, and your pet slips away peacefully. We never rush this.

Does it cost more for evenings or weekends?

Out-of-hours and same-day visits carry a small surcharge (£70 each, or £89 combined, and £100 overnight). The visit fee itself is the same regardless of day or time.

Can my children or other pets be there?

Yes, if you would like. Many families find it helpful to say goodbye together. We take your lead on who is present and make sure everyone feels comfortable, including other pets in the household.

What about cremation and aftercare?

We co-ordinate everything. You can choose individual cremation (ashes returned to you), communal cremation (no ashes returned), or home burial if that is what you prefer. No pressure, just the options explained clearly.

How long does a vet from your team take to get to Leeds?

We work to whatever timescale suits the family rather than to a fixed arrival window. When you phone us, we usually have a vet confirmed for you within around twenty minutes, and then the visit is booked for the time you have asked for, whether that is later the same day, this evening, or a quieter morning slot. If you would like someone as soon as possible, say so on the call and we will tell you the earliest we can be there.

Do you cover Headingley?

Yes, Headingley sits within our Leeds cover area and we visit there regularly. If you are right on the edge of where the Leeds team reaches, please phone the local number first to confirm. Most postcodes around Leeds are covered without a travel surcharge, and we will be straight with you if a different local team would actually get to you faster.

How things end matters.

We are here whenever you are ready.

Whether you need us today or you would like to plan ahead, the Leeds team is here to listen. No pressure, just a calm conversation about what is best for your pet.
