Kent is a long county and the homes we visit run the full span of it, north Kent terraces in Chatham or Gillingham, oast house conversions in the Weald, bungalows on the Isle of Sheppey, Georgian cottages in Faversham or Sandwich, and Edwardian semis in the Tunbridge Wells streets behind the common. The pet at the centre of the appointment changes too: a labrador who has walked the North Downs Way for years, a cat who has barely left a single front room in Whitstable. We cover Maidstone, Medway (Rochester, Chatham, Gillingham), Tonbridge, Tunbridge Wells, Sevenoaks, Ashford, Canterbury, Folkestone, Dover, Margate, Ramsgate, Faversham, Sittingbourne, Dartford and Gravesend, and we travel out into the villages between. Our vets are RCVS-registered. Sedation is used first so your pet is sleeping before anything else. We can adjust the appointment around the home, the weather and your pet: a corner of the garden if it is warm, a familiar bed in the kitchen, the boot of the car if the dog is happiest there. Cremation is arranged through trusted Kent partners, with private and communal options and ashes returned. We give a clear, written price on the booking call. Honest, transparent pricing
Fair care means fair pricing. Here is exactly what a home visit costs in Kent. Out-of-hours covers evenings, nights and early mornings, and any time at weekends or on bank holidays. Only one of these is ever added.
Travel is £25 for the first 15 miles, then £1.60 per mile after that. Any additional mileage is confirmed clearly before you book.
These fees are for the at-home euthanasia appointment only and do not include cremation or aftercare. We can arrange cremation and aftercare for you if you wish, and we will provide a clear quote for those services before you book, so you know the full cost before confirming the appointment.

One of the hardest questions any family faces. Our free Quality of Life Assessment walks you through the signs vets look for, mobility, appetite, comfort, interest in surroundings. You are also welcome to phone and talk it through. There is no pressure either way.
Most visits across Kent and the surrounding area are booked same-day, often within a couple of hours. Pre-planned visits for a specific day and time are also available. For urgent, out-of-hours situations the local number is answered from 8am to 8pm.
Your vet arrives, introduces themselves quietly, and takes a few minutes to explain what will happen. They give your pet a gentle sedative first, so they become relaxed and sleepy, usually resting in your arms or on their bed. Only then is the final injection given, and your pet slips away peacefully. We never rush this.
Out-of-hours and same-day visits carry a small surcharge (£60 each, or £89 combined). The visit fee itself is the same regardless of day or time.
Yes, if you would like. Many families find it helpful to say goodbye together. We take your lead on who is present and make sure everyone feels comfortable, including other pets in the household.
We co-ordinate everything. You can choose individual cremation (ashes returned to you), communal cremation (no ashes returned), or home burial if that is what you prefer. No pressure, just the options explained clearly.
Across the ME, CT, TN postcodes we can usually reach a home in Kent the same day, including Maidstone, Medway, Tunbridge Wells and Sevenoaks. Rural fringes and outlying areas may be next-morning earliest if the call comes in late in the day, but we will tell you straight away when we phone back.
