The quiet, careful goodbye your pet deserves.

Clinical care brings expertise, safety and solutions. At the end of a pet's life, what matters more is comfort, calm and dignity.

  • Honest, transparent pricing

Real prices shown by pet size. No call-out charges and no surprises.

  • Time, space and calm, not pressure

We allow as long as your family needs. This is never rushed.

Covering CF10, CF11, CF14, CF23, CF24& surrounding postcodes

Local to you, across Cardiff and the surrounding area.

Cardiff is a capital that has held onto its neighbourhood feel and the dogs we are asked to visit have usually walked the same patch for years: Bute Park and the Taff Trail for the families in Pontcanna, Riverside and the city centre, Roath Park and the lake for the streets around Roath, Penylan and Cathays, Victoria Park for the homes in Canton and Pontcanna, Heath Park for the older retrievers and labradors of Heath and Birchgrove, Cefn Onn and Thornhill for the spaniels of Lisvane and Llanishen, the Wenallt and Forest Farm for the dogs out at Whitchurch and Rhiwbina. The path along Cardiff Bay from the Norwegian Church round to Penarth is a favourite walk for older dogs we see in Grangetown and Butetown. Cats are usually long-resident garden cats in a Cathays terrace, a Roath bay window or a Llandaff semi. By the time someone rings us, putting an elderly pet into the car along Western Avenue or out onto the A48 for a clinic visit is rarely the right last thing. We cover the CF postcodes across the city: City Centre, Cathays, Roath, Plasnewydd, Penylan, Cyncoed, Pontcanna, Pontprennau, Riverside, Canton, Llandaff, Llandaff North, Whitchurch, Rhiwbina, Heath, Birchgrove, Lisvane, Llanishen, Thornhill, Grangetown, Butetown, Splott, Adamsdown, Tremorfa and Llanrumney. Our vets are RCVS-registered and the visit is unhurried. Sedation is used first so your pet is asleep before anything else. Cremation is arranged through a trusted South Wales crematorium with private or communal options, and ashes are returned within 48 hours. The number on this page is our central booking line, answered by a person who will arrange a vet for your home visit in Cardiff.

How it works.

Three steps. We handle everything around the clinical care so your family can focus on being there.

1

Call or message

Speak to a calm, experienced team member on the local number, or message on WhatsApp. We help you plan timing and answer any questions before anything is booked.

2

A vet visits your home

An RCVS-qualified vet arrives at the agreed time, explains gently what will happen, gives a sedative first, and takes as long as your family needs.

3

We handle the aftercare

If you have chosen cremation, we co-ordinate everything with a trusted partner. Ashes returned, or communal cremation if you prefer.

Common questions.

How do I know it is time?

One of the hardest questions any family faces. Our free Quality of Life Assessment walks you through the signs vets look for, mobility, appetite, comfort, interest in surroundings. You are also welcome to phone and talk it through. There is no pressure either way.

How quickly can you come?

Most visits across Cardiff and the surrounding area are booked same-day, often within a couple of hours. Pre-planned visits for a specific day and time are also available. For urgent, out-of-hours situations the local number is answered from 8am to 8pm.

What happens during the visit?

Your vet arrives, introduces themselves quietly, and takes a few minutes to explain what will happen. They give your pet a gentle sedative first, so they become relaxed and sleepy, usually resting in your arms or on their bed. Only then is the final injection given, and your pet slips away peacefully. We never rush this.

Does it cost more for evenings or weekends?

Out-of-hours and same-day visits carry a small surcharge (£70 each, or £89 combined, and £100 overnight). The visit fee itself is the same regardless of day or time.

Can my children or other pets be there?

Yes, if you would like. Many families find it helpful to say goodbye together. We take your lead on who is present and make sure everyone feels comfortable, including other pets in the household.

What about cremation and aftercare?

We co-ordinate everything. You can choose individual cremation (ashes returned to you), communal cremation (no ashes returned), or home burial if that is what you prefer. No pressure, just the options explained clearly.

Which areas around Cardiff are covered for same-day visits?

Across the CF10, CF11, CF14 postcodes we can usually reach a home in Cardiff the same day, including Pontcanna, Roath, Cyncoed and Penylan. Rural fringes and outlying areas may be next-morning earliest if the call comes in late in the day, but we will tell you straight away when we phone back. Lines are open from 8am to 8pm, seven days a week.

How long does a vet from your team take to get to Cardiff?

We work to whatever timescale suits the family rather than to a fixed arrival window. When you phone us, we usually have a vet confirmed for you within around twenty minutes, and then the visit is booked for the time you have asked for, whether that is later the same day, this evening, or a quieter morning slot. If you would like someone as soon as possible, say so on the call and we will tell you the earliest we can be there.

How things end matters.

We are here whenever you are ready.

Whether you need us today or you would like to plan ahead, the Cardiff team is here to listen. No pressure, just a calm conversation about what is best for your pet.
