Fair Care.

The quiet, careful goodbye your pet deserves.

Clinical care brings expertise, safety and solutions. At the end of a pet's life, what matters more is comfort, calm and dignity.

We come to you. In your home, on your sofa, in the garden, wherever your pet is most at peace. The whole visit happens at home, in your pet's own time.

Our promise to Wirral families is simple: clear standards, honest pricing, and the time and space to say goodbye properly.

  • Clear standards, not vague promises

Every visit follows the same gentle process, delivered by an RCVS-qualified vet.

  • Known steps before, during and after

You know exactly what to expect at every stage, including aftercare and cremation.

  • Honest, transparent pricing

Real prices shown by pet size. No call-out charges and no surprises.

  • Time, space and calm, not pressure

We allow as long as your family needs. This is never rushed.

Local to you, across Wirral and the surrounding area.

The Wirral peninsula has the Mersey on one side and the Dee on the other, and the homes we visit here run the full length of it: terraces in Birkenhead and Wallasey, semis in Bromborough and Bebington, larger gardens in Heswall and Caldy, seafront flats in New Brighton, and the older village houses of Parkgate and Burton looking out over the Dee marshes. The dogs we are asked to see have often walked the prom from Hoylake to West Kirby, the dunes at Meols, Thurstaston Common, Royden Park or the Wirral Way through the old railway cutting for years. The cats here are usually long-resident garden cats in a Bebington cul-de-sac or in a single bedroom window of a Wallasey terrace. By the time families ring, putting your pet in the car along the M53 or through the tunnel for a clinic visit is rarely the right thing for the last appointment. We cover the peninsula across the CH postcodes, including Birkenhead, Tranmere, Rock Ferry, Bebington, Bromborough, Eastham, Wallasey, New Brighton, Liscard, Moreton, Leasowe, Hoylake, Meols, West Kirby, Caldy, Heswall, Gayton, Pensby, Irby, Greasby, Upton and Parkgate. Our vets are RCVS-registered. Sedation is used first so your pet is asleep before anything else, and the visit is unhurried. Cremation is arranged through a trusted Merseyside crematorium, private or communal. The number on this page is the Liverpool line, answered by a person who books our local vets for Wirral home visits.

How it works.

Three steps. We handle everything around the clinical care so your family can focus on being there.

1

Call or message

Speak to a calm, experienced team member on the local number, or message on WhatsApp. We help you plan timing and answer any questions before anything is booked.

2

A vet visits your home

An RCVS-qualified vet arrives at the agreed time, explains gently what will happen, gives a sedative first, and takes as long as your family needs.

3

We handle the aftercare

If you have chosen cremation, we co-ordinate everything with a trusted partner. Ashes returned, or communal cremation if you prefer.

Thank you for your support during a difficult time. We contacted over the Christmas period after our dog, Frankie became unwell. Jennie and the team were able to arrange a vet (Dr Ane) to come to our house the same day. The process was handled with the upmost empathy and…

We had to let our old dog go. And the vet from yours was lovely with him (and us) she explained everything and our gentle old boy went over the rainbow bridge peacefully. I would have no hesitation in recommending their services. Thank you Dr Alex for making Paco's journey…

From the very first phone call we were dealt with in such an empathetic, caring and kind way. It’s always so hard to say goodbye to a much loved pet, but to be able to do it in the comfort of your own home removes so much stress at an already devastating time. Thank you again x

It's a horrible situation to find yourself in, but the professionalism and compassion shown from everyone involved was above and beyond. Everything was explained clearly to me and my beloved old man cat passed without distress, which is as much as I can have hoped for.

Really caring, professional and supportive in their approach. They changed the time and offered us aftercare whilst always remaining respectful and understanding of our needs. A horrible decision to have to make but this company makes everything easier. Thank you.

Common questions.

How do I know it is time?

One of the hardest questions any family faces. Our free Quality of Life Assessment walks you through the signs vets look for, mobility, appetite, comfort, interest in surroundings. You are also welcome to phone and talk it through. There is no pressure either way.

How quickly can you come?

Most visits across Wirral and the surrounding area are booked same-day, often within a couple of hours. Pre-planned visits for a specific day and time are also available. For urgent, out-of-hours situations the local number is answered from 8am to 8pm.

What happens during the visit?

Your vet arrives, introduces themselves quietly, and takes a few minutes to explain what will happen. They give your pet a gentle sedative first, so they become relaxed and sleepy, usually resting in your arms or on their bed. Only then is the final injection given, and your pet slips away peacefully. We never rush this.

Does it cost more for evenings or weekends?

Out-of-hours and same-day visits carry a small surcharge (£60 each, or £89 combined). The visit fee itself is the same regardless of day or time.

Can my children or other pets be there?

Yes, if you would like. Many families find it helpful to say goodbye together. We take your lead on who is present and make sure everyone feels comfortable, including other pets in the household.

What about cremation and aftercare?

We co-ordinate everything. You can choose individual cremation (ashes returned to you), communal cremation (no ashes returned), or home burial if that is what you prefer. No pressure, just the options explained clearly.

How long does a vet from your team take to get to Wirral?

We work to whatever timescale suits the family rather than to a fixed arrival window. When you phone us, we usually have a vet confirmed for you within around twenty minutes, and then the visit is booked for the time you have asked for, whether that is later the same day, this evening, or a quieter morning slot. If you would like someone as soon as possible, say so on the call and we will tell you the earliest we can be there.

Do you cover Birkenhead?

Yes, Birkenhead sits within our Wirral cover area and we visit there regularly. If you are right on the edge of where the Wirral team reaches, please phone the local number first to confirm. Most postcodes around Wirral are covered without a travel surcharge, and we will be straight with you if a different local team would actually get to you faster.

How things end matters.

We are here whenever you are ready.

Whether you need us today or you would like to plan ahead, the Wirral team is here to listen. No pressure, just a calm conversation about what is best for your pet.
