For veterinary practices
Give your clients the choice of saying goodbye at home
A compassionate extension of your veterinary practice.
When a family would prefer their pet’s final appointment to take place at home, Vets at Home provides a trusted option if your practice is unable to offer the visit itself.
Our UK-wide network of RCVS-registered veterinary surgeons is supported by a central team available from 8am to 8pm, seven days a week. We arrange the home visit and, where required, coordinate collection, cremation, the return of ashes and bereavement support.
We then confirm that the appointment has taken place, allowing your practice to update its clinical record and continue with its own aftercare protocol.
No form. No registration. The guide downloads immediately.
Our promise to practices: we work alongside you, never around you. Your clients remain your clients. The plan carries no booking links and asks nothing of the families you share it with.
Help your practice find a way to say yes
Families increasingly want the choice of saying goodbye to their pet at home. The Final Goodbye Survey, commissioned by Vets at Home and answered by almost 2,500 pet parents who have been through the loss of a pet, found that:
- 72%
of goodbyes took place at a veterinary practice
- 72%
of pet parents would prefer to say goodbye at home if faced with the decision again
- 98%
of families who had experienced a home goodbye would choose it again
Almost two thirds (64%) of those whose goodbye was at a practice would choose home next time. Working with Vets at Home allows your practice to respond positively when a client requests a home visit, even when your own team cannot provide it.
